Friends of mine had been on holiday and raved about the Club Med concept and I thought it would be a good opportunity to work overseas, experience a different culture and lifestyle and meet new friends. I entered in Club Med in December 2013 as baby club GO and fast tracked to Baby club manger early 2014. Club Med brings a lot at a professional level: I have been sent on a week training camp in China and been given the opportunity to develop my managerial skills even further by being promoted to baby club manager.


The professional skills required are to have a good knowledge of children, be tactful and be able to use your initiative and be innovative. The personal competencies required to work in this position are: to be motivated, energetic, warm and welcoming, friendly, caring and kind, respectful, flexible and multicultural.


The communication with different cultures has been my biggest challenge, but you find ways of over-coming this and realise that language is not the only way that we communicate. My Club Med experience had a big impact on my life, I have become more confident in meeting new people and I have also become more open minded and found a new level of respect for people from different nationalities and cultures.


I love to wake up every morning at Club Med! Thinking about all the amazing people you are going to meet from all corners of the world, seeing and being with the incredible GO team and being part of the amazing events and parties.
